Public Relations Industry magazine PR News announced its Corporate Social Responsibility awards for 2009. Awards will be presented in March 2010 at the National Press Club in DC. Candidates can win awards in categories such as best Annual Report, Blog, Cause Branding Campaign or Corporate-Community Partnership, among many others.
The deadline for entries is November 20, 2009 and applications can be found on the PR News Online website.
I myself have never attended a CSR Award function, but this seems to do little to change the perception among many that CSR is nothing but PR.
